Where did Make-Up come from?

EGYPT:
Make-up dates back to 3100 BC, during the Egyptian times. Unguent was used to stop the skin drying out due to the heat of the sun. Both males and females used this. Kohl was applied around womens eyes to give them a smoky look.

ROMANIA:
Romanian's also found uses for cosmetics and make-up around the middle of the first centuary AD.They also used kohl around their eyes and used pumice to clesn their teeth. They put rouge on the cheeks as blusher.

AFRICA:

Kohl and Henna started as cosmeics in North Africa.

THE MIDDLE EAST:

In the middle east they uased perfumed sticks rolled and pressed in to sticks that would have been like perfume and deodrant today. Adhan, an oily substance, was used for medication and beautification.
